Meet our newest family member, Jax.

The girls have been wanting a pet for a while now, and while I would have prefered a dog, I just wouldn't be able to handle one right now, trying to house break it and stuff, so we settled on a cat. I have to admit that he is very cute...kittens are always cute...but then they grow. Elijah loves him and keeps saying "Oh yook (look), cute kitty!" Isaac is just kinda confused about what it is. He keeps trying to hit him. He's probably thinking, alright! someone smaller than me that I can terrorize! :) We just got him today, so I'm not sure how the night's gonna go. We'll see, I guess. There's always the basement to throw him in if he's a singer :D

First day of school!!!!

Here they are!!! All ready to go!

They were so excited this morning! Chloe has been asking me for the past 2 weeks how many days she had left till school started...well, this morning when she woke up, the first thing she said was "I get to go to school today!" I was like, yeah Chloe, you finally get to go! No more waiting!! I was a little nervous that Chloe would cry, although, she's usually the one that is more independent and more outgoing, but sometimes she surprises me. She didn't cry though...thank goodness. I was a bawling mess last year when Laney started! I was pregnant though, so the hormones may have had something to do with that :)

Poor Elijah isn't going to know what to do without either of them here!

This is Laney's teacher. She's new this year, so we don't know alot about her, but I'm sure she'll be great! She was really sweet when we met her at open house.

I'm sure she'll do great! They are riding the bus home, so I told her to look for Laney...so she would feel more comfortable. I can't wait to hear how their days went!

Happy 7th Birthday Laney!

My baby girl is growing up!! Her birthday was actually yesterday. I don't really have any birthday pictures to post of her, because we'll be having her family party at my mom's house tomorrow, and we didn't have a friend party since she wanted to go to Worlds of Fun instead. I just wanted to post a little something for her birthday. She's such a sweet little girl, and I am so privileged to be her mom! I can't believe I have a child that is 7 years old though! I know I say that every year when she turns another year older, but I really can't believe it! I can't be old enough, right? :) She's a wonderful daughter and a wonderful big sister! She is such a tremedous help to me...whenever I ask her to do something or get something for me, she always does it! I love her so much!! She's my little Laney-bug and I couldn't imagine my life without her!

Worlds of Fun

Meeting the characters...which Elijah did NOT want to do. Mike was holding him when Snoopy came up and Elijah just kept saying "NO, no, no!!!" He wasn't really crying, he was just like, Yikes, your scary...get away from me! They are pretty scary looking though...nothing like real Disney characters :)

Elijah loved watching the roller coasters. He would say "Mommy, look! Train goes fast!"

The girls were all able to go on the Spinning Dragons, which they LOVED!!!! I was worried that it might scare them a little bit, but it really didn't...that's my girls!!! I love roller coasters and pretty much all amusement park rides...except the spinning things...they make me so sick! Mike doesn't like rides at all (he'll go on the water rides, and some of the more mellow ones) so a couple of my neices went so I would have someone to ride them with. But he did do the Spinning Dragons with us once! Here we are in line. He tried to get a couple of pictures when we were riding it, but they didn't turn out.

And the kids riding on the train. Elijah didn't have such a great time there. I think he was just too hot and miserable. When we went out to the van to take him home, it said the temperature was 107!!!

The kids all had a great time! We will probably go back in Sep. or Oct. when it's not so hot. It was sweltering hot when we were there! I thought I was gonna die!! We took Elijah back to my mom's after we were there for just a couple of hours. He was super hot and tired...he fell asleep on the way there. When we picked him up that night, he said "Mommy, please go ride the choo-choo train again." So I guess he liked it a little bit... Oh, but he didn't like the Wacky Worm. I rode with him on that and he was good till we went down the hill and around the fast turn at the end. He kept saying that he was falling. I was like, great, thanks Mike...see what you did? :D And another weird thing that I've always noticed when we're outside alot is that my kids seriously are immune to the sun! I'm not kidding...if I don't put sunscreen on them, they still won't burn, or tan...it's like the sun has no effect on them at all!!! It's very strange.
Next time we go back, I'm taking more pictures though, that's for sure!!

Well, it's a day late...sorry Chlo. I can't believe she's 5!! Every time one of the kids turns another year older, it just seems so unreal! Time goes by faster every year!

We're taking the kids to World of Fun on Sunday for both of their birthdays. That's what they wanted instead of a party...which is fine by me. So I'll be posting pictures of that soon! They're so excited to go! Oh, and they've been taking swimming lessons for a couple of days now and Laney's doing great! Chloe, on the other hand, is very scared of the water. She hates going all the way under and she won't let go of the instructor when she takes her in to practice kicking or whatever. I don't know where she gets that from...Mike and I both love the water. It kinda makes me sad...I hope she gets over it.
