Ok. Let me start by saying that, like most people, I have a TON of pet peeves while driving. Things like backing into parking spaces (it takes longer to do that than to back out of one, people...especially women. Let's face it, women can't back up. Deal with it and move on. Stop trying to prove to yourself that you can back up just as well as any guy can...you can't, get over it!), or not getting over a lane when you're on the highway and people (like me) are on the on ramp trying to merge. Folks, if there are two empty lanes to the left of you and you see people trying to get onto the highway that you think solely belongs to you, get the heck over. Shouldn't that be common sense?
But this next one just bewilders me every time I see it. And I see it EVERY time I make a left-hand turn onto a highway or a busy road. There are 2 turning lanes at the light, and yet somehow people seem to think that the right lane (which is ALSO turning left) is forbidden. I will literally see people blocking an intersection because they won't get into that right (also left-turning) lane. Are you kidding me? You would rather miss the light to get onto the highway by waiting behind the other 427 people in the left turning lane than be the 2nd car in the right turning lane? Seriously? Am I in the minority here on this one? Apparently around my town I am, but oh well. I always get the right left-turning lane to myself. so there.
And in case you needed a visual aid for that little rant, here ya go.
You're welcome.
So tell me, what are your driving pet peeves?
It takes 8,460 bolts to assemble an automobile, and one nut to scatter it all over the road.

People leaving their blinkers on for forever and a mile after they change lanes or whatever.
