30 weeks...the final countdown!!!

How far along? 30 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: Total, I think it's somewhere around 25lbs. sheesh...

Maternity clothes? I really want a new pair of maternity jeans, but I can't justify spending $40 on something I'm only gonna wear for another 7-10 weeks.

Stretch marks? Got 'em

Sleep: It hasn't been so great lately. I'm gonna start trying Tylenol pm...hopefully that will help.

Best moment this week: There were lots...Laney's birthday, school starting today, getting the living room and main hall painted, and my dr. appt. yesterday. His heartrate was in the 150's and when she measured my belly, she felt around to see if she could figure out what position he was in and she's pretty sure he's head down! Now he just needs to stay that way!

Movement: It's been out of control. I literally try to rock back and forth in bed, hoping that maybe it will rock him to sleep. It doesn't work. That would be one of the reasons I'm not getting that much sleep. But I really can't complain...I love feeling him wiggling around in there! ;)

Food cravings: Chocolate pudding...which just started today.

Gender: I'm assuming he's still a boy...should I just keep this answer every week? I'm pretty sure he won't morph into a girl! ;)

Labor Signs: I had alot of braxton hicks contractions after we painted on Saturday. I layed down and they went away. I always seem to feel alot of pressure after I walk around for a long time.

Belly button in or out? Flat

What I miss: Nothing

What I am looking forward to: Painting his room in the next week or two!

Weekly wisdom: ??

Milestones: I got my rhogam shot yesterday at my appt. It's just one more step closer to meeting him!

Your baby's about 15.7 inches long now, and he weighs almost 3 pounds (like a head of cabbage). A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds him, but that volume will decrease as he gets bigger and takes up more room in your uterus. His eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen; even after he's born, he'll keep his eyes closed for a good part of the day. When he does open them, he'll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision — which means he can only make out objects a few inches from his face. (Normal adult vision is 20/20.)

Laney is 8 years old!

My oldest is 8! It's almost unbelievable, really. She is such a sweet, thoughtful, caring, precious little girl. I feel so blessed to have her as my daughter.

It was 8 years ago that I was looking into this beautiful little face.

How fast they go from this
to this:
Now I get to look into this beautiful little face and actually carry on intelligent conversations with her.
She will be entering 2nd grade in 2 days. I will miss having her here at home to talk to and to play with. Her help with the boys is something I know I will definitely miss as well. She never (well, hardly ever) complains when I ask her to get me something or when I ask her to help me clean up the mess of toys that the boys have made. She's such a little mommy. :)
She was the first one who made me a mother and I'm so thankful for that every single day of my life!
Happy Birthday angel girl! I love you so much!!!

29 Weeks!!!

How far along? 29 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: I don't think it has wavered too much in the last week.

Maternity clothes? I don't think I could get by wearing anything else at this point. Maybe some pj pants or something, I guess.

Stretch marks? Got 'em

Sleep: I LOVE sleeping on my right side! I will wake up on my back or on my left side, and I'm so happy because it means I can turn onto my right side. Is that totally weird?

Best moment this week: Having a nice, relaxing weekend with my family.

Movement: He's starting to kick really hard...you know, the painful, startling, feels-like-he-wants-out kicks!

Food cravings: I've been craving cinnamon applesauce like crazy!

Gender: I'm assuming he's still a boy...should I just keep this answer every week? I'm pretty sure he won't morph into a girl! ;)

Labor Signs: I have been having horrible ligament pains that last for minutes at a time, along with the hardening of my belly. It seems like with each pregnancy, the pains start earlier and are more painful.

Belly button in or out? It has stretched out to where it's just pretty much flat.

What I miss: Nothing

What I am looking forward to: Celebrating Laney's 8th birthday this weekend!

Weekly wisdom: It doesn't all have to be done at once!...I'm still trying to convince myself of that one.

Milestones: We've finally ordered a piece of his bedding!! =)

How your baby's growing:
Your baby now weighs about 2 1/2 pounds (like a butternut squash) and is a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel. His muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and his head is growing bigger to make room for his developing brain. To meet his increasing nutritional demands, you'll need plenty of protein, vitamins C, folic acid, and iron. And because his bones are soaking up lots of calcium, be sure to drink your milk (or find another good source of calcium, such as cheese, yogurt, or enriched orange juice). This trimester, about 250 milligrams of calcium are deposited in your baby's hardening skeleton each day.

9 years and counting

9 years ago today, I made the best decision of my life (aside from my acceptance of Jesus Christ as my Savior) and I married this wonderful man.

He's everything I could have ever dreamed of and so much more. God seriously knew what He was doing when He allowed us to become one. I honestly could never imagine walking through life without him by my side. I have never met a man as amazing as he is!!! I love him so much!! He truly is my very best friend!

Haircuts

My handsome boys and their new hairstyles!

I love my baby boys.

Elijah's mohawk :)

Side view

28 weeks!!

How far along? 28 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: I think I'm up total about 23 lbs...already.

Maternity clothes? For sure!

Stretch marks? Got 'em

Sleep: I'm sleeping pretty well, when this little guy isn't moving!

Best moment this week: Hearing his little heartbeat at the dr. yesterday (upper 140's). And finding out my glucose test turned out fine. I need to get my rhogam shot at my next appt.

Movement: All the time!

Food cravings: I'm starting to crave sweet stuff

Gender: I'm assuming he's still a boy...should I just keep this answer every week? I'm pretty sure he won't morph into a girl! ;)

Labor Signs: I've had a few painful contractions here and there

Belly button in or out? It's starting to pop out quite nicely. :)

What I miss: Nothing

What I am looking forward to: Decorating the nursery...yeah, we still haven't started on that yet.

Weekly wisdom: Rest when you can!

Milestones: I'm in the 3rd trimester and I'm seeing my dr. every 2 weeks now! Geez, it's going really fast!!

How your baby's growing:
By this week, your baby weighs two and a quarter pounds (like a Chinese cabbage) and measures 14.8 inches from the top of his head to his heels. He can blink his eyes, which now sport lashes. With his eyesight developing, he may be able to see the light that filters in through your womb. He's also developing billions of neurons in his brain and adding more body fat in preparation for life in the outside world.
